Liz Horwitz

Liz Horwitz (piccolo, flute, bass flute, string bass) is the librarian of the Willow Flute Ensemble and is also one of the founding members of the group.  Liz received her BA in Music from Colby College in Waterville, ME.  She performs for weddings and receptions with a trio (2 flutes and cello) and a duo (2 flutes).  In addition to her flute playing, Liz also plays the double bass with the Civic Symphony Orchestra of Boston (www.csob.org) and The Mood Swings Orchestra, Boston’s All-Women Swing Orchestra. (www.themoodswings.org).  Outside her musical interests, Liz is an independent artist who works with Japanese Washi paper and has recently had her work featured at the Chelsea Theater Works and a solo show at The Yamawaki Art and Cultural Center at Lasell College.
